We have made some changes to submitting your stories to Tamaskans Against Puppy Mills in order to strengthen our mission and give your story more strength. So if you are considering submitting your story Try to assemble the following in advance.

• Decide: Do you want to share your name and your dog's name publicly? There is no right or wrong answer but consider this so you write your story to support your choice. You can always update this selection

• Assemble: Collect all supporting documents that you can. Images, messages, vet documentation, etc. We can offer more assistance, resources, and help others when we can verify your story. Don't worry, you don't need to make these documents public. They will be used to mark your submission as verified and can be included but it can also be kept anonymous or out of your public submission.

• Tell Your Story: We want your submission to be in your words. We do not want to affect the narrative or influence the presentation. We are only here to place your submission into the system and support you and the community by offering a platform and resources. Please include any details about how you went through the process of getting a dog, the conditions when you received, how they are doing now, and any other details you wish.

Once you are ready to go you can review the other parts of this process and submit below.

This is the simplest part. You can use the form linked below in order to share your story. You can select the options you want and include any documentation you feel is relevant. If you want assistance wording or telling your story you can reach out to info@tamaskansagainstpuppmills.com and we will reach out to you directly and help you and/or put you in touch with another volunteer willing to help you compose your story.

Like everything we do this is done with the utmost care. We are not here to affect your stories - only to present them and give you a platform as well as act as a resource to others. So here are our simple steps.

With our migration at the start of 2022 we came up with this new posting process. As stated in the processing submissions tab above everyone now gets their own page for their testimonial. Let's dive into exactly what that means and how it works!

Every page has the following categories:

• Title
• Intro Summary
• Submitter's name/anonymous
• Kennel being discussed
• Date of submission
• The dog

Added Site Features:
Every testimonial will be linked to/have the following data attached to it:

• The Kennel: This will allow you to click on the kennel and go to a page of all of the applicable testimonials and facts on that kennel. 
• Topic Tags: We will review your story and look for key words, situations, medical conditions etc. and tag your story with these items. This will allow individuals to click on a tag (examples: malnutrition, pedigree discrepancies, seizures, etc.) and see a listing of all other testimonials that share that tag.
• Meta Data: The internet is a crazy place but including meta Data and other info helps search engines and individuals locate information. So we will use your story, images, and documents to set the metadata for the page so that others can see your story.

Additions & Updates:
You can always give us updates and modifications to your story. We will add them and mark them clearly as additions. This allows you to share anonymously then update to include your name, tell us more about how your dog is doing, provide additional documents, etc. 

Unique Links & Easy Navigation:
Our submissions are really easy to use and view. Each one will have their own url and be easy to share. But they also all link together. You can visit our Testimonials page to view all of the submissions in one place. But you can also view the ***reported kennels*** page to view information about each kennel with their testimonials available on their individual pages as well. 

Kennel Linking & Tags:
Each testimonial/submission also is hard linked to the kennel it is addressing and has applicable tags for different situations, conditions, etc. that you can click to see other testimonials that saw the same issues in their stories. 

Updates & Additions:
Individuals who submit updates and additions will have their original submissions modified but these modifications will be very clear and visible.

Linking Stories In the Home:
If a submission or testimonial has other specific submissions etc. to dogs in the home, shared stories, etc. the pages will reference each other 

Verifiable:
We do not expect you to blindly believe the stories shared here. While we do believe individuals and support them for any submissions from 2022 and forward facts must be supported. While everyone can tell their story in their words we want to make sure we are sharing accurate info. But we also need to make sure everyone can safely share. so it will not be posted with a verified tag unless we have supporting documents for the claims made. That said the documents and name of the parties involved will only be made public if the submitter chooses to share.

Second Hand Sources:
We will eb allowing second hand stories. We know that in some cases we now cannot get stories from their original sources for a variety of reasons. These stories will be marked as secondary sources so you can use them appropriately but so their voices can support the community and corroborate other submissions.
